YRC "Row for the Cure" Mother's Day 2009 (Amy & Tania, and "Amy's Crew")

Thank you for supporting the Pink Tulip Project! This garden will raise funds for cancer research while beautifying our community. We will remind passers by of the importance of early detection while honoring women who have been affected by cancer.

Our garden honors our dear friend Amy Smith, who astounded us with her courage, stamina and incredibly positive attitude as she battled breast cancer this past year.

Our key fundraising / awareness event was the first ever "Row for the Cure" held on Mother's Day 2009 in Yarmouth Maine. Our friend Alexa provided a fabulous video commemorating the event which you can cut and paste into your browser www.arophotography.com/files/pink_tulip.wmv

THANK YOU to all of our incredible friends and family, affectionately dubbed "Amy's Crew" who have made this garden and funds for breast cancer research possible. We will be selecting a final garden(s) site in a week or two, purchasing our bulbs and then RE"CREW"TING AN ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS to PLANT, PLANT, PLANT around October 19th - details to follow.
